Being naked.

Are you comfortable with it? Do you think anything of it? Who would you be comfortable being naked with? Your mum, your brother, your friends or your work colleagues? Where would you draw your line? Would you have a line or is everyone welcome?

If you are anything like me placing yourself somewhere on the ladder of people surrounding you is the result of being in a room of naked people of the same sex as you. Self-criticism, comparing and discomfort accompanies you home and an ickiness sticks to you like glue.

I recently moved to Helsinki where there are as many saunas as people. More traditional public saunas are split into men and women and there is either a no swimwear policy or you just feel silly being the only one covering yourself with a towel. My first sauna experience was liberating and I felt released from all the bullshit.

As my friend Mel put it, the scale goes from being vertical to be horizontal. It’s equalising and not about where you fit in as everyone has a bit of something extra here, something that juggles over there and shit that is tight like a mother fucking tiger. In the end, it is not even about evaluation, it's about enjoying the heat wash over you and being surrounded by beauty. It becomes a gift not a source of self-loathing.

Thank you Luisa (@Luisabrimble) for the opportunity to do this shoot, thank you Tanliines (@tanliines) for making a stunning product to shoot and thank you Rebecca Bisset (@rebecca_bisset), for your wicked bad ass modelling skills. Such an amazing team to be a part of.

Here's the vibes for this weeks post. Press play and scroll away.
