Tokyo Pt.3

Tokyo Pt.3

When Scott and I were visiting Japan he documented the whole trip through my dads film camera. There is something special about taking a photo with film that rebels against our modern times. It's a little fuck you you to the speed at which we sometimes run through our lives with. The limited number of shots, the patience that comes with waiting for them to be developed and the vulnerability of limited post processing power. Three days days after our trip my photos were edited and shared with the world. Three months after our trip the film was developed and we were sharing them together on the couch remembering all the ramen we slurped and the people we met. Time and space are such gifts and have the power to deeply enrich our experience. Immediacy is not necessarily always king.

Scott, these photos are beautiful and you inspire me with every shot. The composition is lovely and the beautifully simple moments you capture takes my breath away. May we take photos together until we are old.

Here's the vibes for this weeks post. Press play and scroll away.
